If you are teaching an intermediate or advanced class in Spanish, use the Lupa Classroom Portal to assign stories and track your students' progress.

Getting Started

Sign in from my.lupa.app and find the “Create a Lupa Classroom” link near the middle of your account page. Follow the prompt to instantly create your first classroom, and rename it from the default name if you wish. (Later you will use the “Classrooms” link from the top navigation to access your classroom/s.)

Adding Students to Your Class

From the classroom’s individual page, look for the Class Code at the top right of the screen, and share that with your students.

Further down the page, the Class Code is repeated, along with an Instructions for students button. Click on it, copy the content and share it with your students.

Ask your students to download Lupa to their mobile device and then enter the code on the Account Page where it says Redeem a code. After they do that:

  • Their names will appear in your class roster.
  • They will see your class on their Lupa app's Home screen. From there they can see their class assignments.

If you teach more than one class, you can create multiple classrooms in the same manner.

Assigning Stories

For your first class, we've automatically assigned the two free Lupa stories. To remove them or select other stories, tap the Select stories button in the Assignments section of the screen.

You will see selected stories with a checkmark on a yellow circle on the episode’s illustration.  Click on individual stories to select or de-select, and then tap Done on the top right.

Once you have assigned a story you can:

  • Set a due date.
  • Add an assignment note.

Students will see these on their Lupa app.

Additionally you can click on Resources under each story to access additional materials we have for that story.  These may include: Activity Guide, Story Script, and Guided Listening Worksheet (fillable or printable). Resources for our premium stories are made available to teachers of full-access classrooms either through individual student subscriptions or a classroom license (see below).

What Does It Cost?

The portal itself is free to use, and we've made it very easy to get it up and running with two fun and accessible Radio Ambulante stories that you and your students will enjoy.

If you want your students to study with the subscriber-only stories in Lupa, there are two options:

(i) Ask your students to subscribe individually. Our student rate is $8/month or $59/year. This is easy to set up if your students have school-based email accounts.  All .edu accounts are already on this pricing tier. If your school email has a different format, please register it for student pricing here.

(ii) Purchase a multi-seat license at our institutional rate. Licenses with different configurations (duration, class size) can be negotiated on a school-wide or district-wide basis and applied to individual classrooms. Please contact us at edu‑sales@jiveworld.com to discuss what works best for your needs and budget.
